Maui Northeast Region Beaches Title

Northeast Maui Beaches including beach description, map, and facilities
Kahului, Paia, and Hana area

With 120 miles of coastline, the island of Maui claims more than 30 miles of gorgeous beaches with golden to red to black sand. There are beaches to satisfy everyone’s styles; undeveloped sandy beaches (Big Beach), family beaches (Kamaole), a couple of nude beaches (Little Beach and Red Sand Beach), and highly developed beaches lined with hotels (Ka’anapali Beach). Maui holds two of the world's best windsurfing beaches, Kanaha Beach Park and Ho'okipa Beach Park.

The list of things to do on Maui is endless  but the most popular attraction has always been the long stretches of fabulous, easily accessed white sand beaches with easy whale watching from shore and many choices of water sports.

Kind of difficult to get to in regular rental car.  If you have 4 wheel drive don’t miss this unblemished
beach.  Surfing can be very good.  Left side has some of the most dangerous waves in the islands.
Car theft can be high here.  Swimming not advised due to rough surf!

Only for the adventurous as you will have to cross private land and slippery conditions! Bring a good
towel as the "sand" is loose red volcanic cinder. Try the little lava tub where the ocean separates from
the calm water. Rough conditions and rip tides! Very isolated, sometimes clothing is optional!
